Ping a host
Five pings from each of nine regions: loss and round trips.
The target is placed from a GeoIP database, and only where its round trip allows; an anycast or CDN address answers from near each region, so its card says how near instead of drawing a line.
How it works
Each region sends five ICMP echo requests, 200 ms apart, and waits up to a second and a half for the
replies, like ping -c 5. Many hosts and firewalls don't answer pings at all, so no replies doesn't always mean
down; Check tests HTTPS instead. "Ping me" pings the address you're visiting from; it goes only to the
site's own servers and isn't stored. From a terminal: curl ipq.sh/ping/me or curl ipq.sh/ping/example.com;
add ?from=nyc,lon for some regions only.
